Summary
Chí Phèo was Bá Kiến’s servant. He was been in jail because Bá Kiến accused falsely. After he got out the jail, he became a bad person. Anywhere he been, he always abused and beat people who he met on his way. Chí Phèo was an alcoholic, he became a monster. Then he met Thị Nở who was so ugly, dirty. However, she was a honest lady, she helped Chí Phèo when he was seem to be die by a onion rice soup. After that, he wanted to be honest. He wanted to be with Thị Nở,but Thị Nở did not want to be his wife. He drank a lot. He went to Bá Kiến’s house, and Chí Phèo killed Bá Kiến. After that, he killed himself to end his own life.
Recommendation
In my opinion, this book is very worth reading. It is one of the most famous stories written by Nam Cao in Vietnam. I love this story so much because from the story I could see how hard of life of Vietnamese in the 20th century. I hope you enjoy this book.
